OUR STORY
Every KISUYU tea opens a new page of your Japanese travel journal.
From France to japan
In 2003, Christine leaves Lyon to study abroad. Tea has always been part of her life without ever questioning why. From France to every country she has lived in, it is there. A constant silent. and source of comfort. In 2014, everything changes. A photographer based in Singapore, she attends her first Japanese tea ceremony. Faced with this ritual, she understands that some things her lens will never capture. She goes back. Again and again. She learns from tea masters, meets producers from Uji to Fukuoka. She listens, observes, tastes. In 2020, she returns to France. The quest begins : to bring back the soul of Japan through exceptional teas and matchas, each carrying a story. Every product bears the name of the person who inspired it. KISUYU (キスユ) is born from these journeys. 季 Ki is the season that passes. 秀 Su is the beauty that emerges. 優 Yū is the grace that remains. Our logo, a stylised tea flower imagined as a stamp charged with history, travelling, crossing borders. A mark of origin. Every cup, an invitation to journey through the terroirs of Japan.
Exceptional Taste & Quality
We offer teas and matchas of unique flavour and uncompromising quality. Grown on Japanese farms using traditional methods, every cup reveals a pure and vibrant taste : the result of authentic craftsmanship.
Authentic Heritage
We honour the centuries-old traditions of Japanese tea while making this ancestral wisdom accessible to modern life. Through authentic processes and rituals, we preserve the purity and meaning of this thousand-year-old art.
Living in the Present Moment
Tea goes beyond a simple drink. It is an art of living with intention. From the very beginning of this journey, we have known that every step, from preparation to tasting, cultivates a deep sense of calm that reconnects you to yourself and to the present moment.
Community & Sharing
We build authentic relationships through shared values, quality, authenticity, and living with intention. Every cup creates a connection between ourselves, others, and the world around us.
